Design-Build-Remodel Consultation/Presentation Fee $150
This fee for construction based services includes:
• Step One – Consultation
Up to one hour of a designers’ time in your home to assess your design needs, style and budget. We understand that determining whether a simple face-lift or undertaking a large scale remodel project is right for you as well as establishing a realistic budget can often be daunting; Home Expressions Interiors is happy to professionally guide you as to what makes the most sense for your space. We will help you determine what a realistic budget is for your plan however in order to be respectful of everybody’s time and efforts we do ask that all decision makers be present at the initial consultation and that you predetermine the maximum you will be willing to spend. You may find it helpful to know that in 2016 the average Kitchen remodel cost is $45,000- $100,000. The average Master Bath Remodel cost is $40,000- 60,000 and the average Basement Design-Build cost is $130,000- $250,000
• Step Two – Research and Design
Based on your specific design needs and established budget, the Designer will utilize Home Expressions Interiors varied resources to create a schematic design and space plan along with basic finish materials and color palette.
•Step Three – Presentation
The Interior Designer will make a presentation in the Home Expression’s Interiors Design Studio which will be comprehensive indication of what can be accomplished for your home through our services. We feel confident that you will be excited about what is presented and be ready to move forward with further developing the plan. In order to receive any of the specifications or designs presented in this plan and to continue with the Design Development Phase; we require a signed Letter of Intent which will state the ESTIMATED total cost for your project based on the options presented.Along with the Letter of Intent the Owner will agree to a non-refundable retainer of $3500 which will be applied to the total project cost. The deposit signifies approval for Designer to continue to further define the scope of work in order to provide an accurate project cost. This phase will include scheduling any necessary site visits with sub-contractors, up to 5 additional hours of design and research time by Designer and a maximum of 2 additional Owner/Designer meetings to complete all design and planning services. Upon completion of this phase it is then the intent of both parties to enter into a formal Construction Agreement that will take precedence over the Letter of Intent.
